FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: first, nozzle of gas-dynamic application device is located perpendicular to one of the treated surfaces of the part edge with nozzle axis offset beyond the part dimensions, and layer of powder material is applied to it. Then, position of nozzle is changed through 90° relative to the part surface. Nozzle is located perpendicular to the other side of treated surface of the part edge with nozzle axis offset beyond the part dimensions and final formation of the edge profile is performed.

EFFECT: use of invention allows shortening the time required for edge formation by 10-15 times without deterioration of strength and operating properties of the part.
