FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method involves treatment of iron-containing surfaces of parts by means of electrolytic process in order to improve their resistance to friction, wear and seizing; according to the above method, the surfaces form electrolytic anode in electrolytic bath that contains sulphur-containing compound, chlorine-containing salt, nitrogen-containing compound and water in quantities suitable for simplification of sulphidation of the above surfaces.
EFFECT: reduction of sulphidation toxicity level and power consumption, and improvement of coating adhesion to the part.
