FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: device to remove icicles comprises an elastic insulated steel wire fixed at the edge of the inclined canopy and connected at the ends by terminals for connection of a source of an electric signal. The wire has periodical sections bent at certain pitch distance to form narrow loops hanging vertically downwards along the building wall. In gaps between sections the wire is wound in the form of its coaxial cylindrical coils. Each coil is equipped with ferromagnetic cores introduced into it at both sides, inner ends of which are placed in the middle part of the coil to form an axial gap, and outer ones protrude beyond the limits of the coil and are stiffly connected with ends of bent wire sections adjacent to the coil.

EFFECT: increased operational reliability of a roof.
