FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment. An occluder comprises an element woven of thin wires and filaments which is mould and thermally treated to be properly shaped. The occluder has a proximal retaining area and a distal retaining area. Wire or filament ends fit together in the distal retaining area. A cylindrical bridge is placed between the proximal and distal retaining areas. For making the occluder which if opened is maximally placed on the bridge from the proximal side of the bridge defect, the proximal retaining area of the woven element of the presented device has a completely closed proximal wall which is placed to form a continuous surface on the proximal end of the occluder, thereby forming the proximal end of said occluder. The bridge defect is closed by the minimal number of portions of the occluder.
EFFECT: minimised occluder displacement and partial embolisation or fatigue of the materials.
