FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, namely to an occluder for closing a hole in the human body, mainly in a left atrial appendage. Occluder comprises elongated elements, each of which has a first end retained in the first holder or attached thereto, and a second end retained in the second holder or attached thereto. Elongated elements are positioned between the first and second holders independently from each other and are jointly enclosed, at least on part of their length, into at least one shell. At least one of said shells is configured to limit bending of elongated members when their first and second ends approach each other as a result of mutual movement of two holders. Occludder comprises at least first shell and second shell. Part of each of elongated elements limited in its ability to bend is surrounded by the second shell, and part of each of elongated elements enclosed in the first shell is not limited or less limited in relation to bending, than parts of elongated elements enclosed in the second shell.
EFFECT: occluder is especially effective for closing left auricle; its advantage is also that its shape and size can be selected individually with preserving the advantage of directed expansion and repeated folding of the occluder from the expanded state.
