SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to vascular surgery, cardiac surgery and can be used if it is necessary to close a cardiac or vascular defect. That is ensured by an occluder presented, which is configured to be transferred from a compact state, wherein it extends along its long axis, into an expanded state. The occluder comprises the first expanding assembly and the second expanding assembly. The expanding assemblies are configured to rest against one side of the defect in the expanded state. The occluder comprises the first coupling portion and the second coupling portion that can be attached one to another with the occluder fixed in the expanded state. The first coupling portion is provided with a portion, at least a part of which is arranged between the first and second expanding assemblies, when in the expanded state. The above section is configured to be extended along the long axis.

EFFECT: invention provides the effective cardiac or vascular defect closure by enabling the controlled adjustment of a distance between the expanding assemblies of the occluder that promotes the optimum correlation of the distances of these assemblies or the defect depth or the defect surrounding wall thickness.
