FIELD: mechanical engineering, in particular, formation of mineral coatings on surfaces of parts made from metals and alloys.
SUBSTANCE: method involves pressing finely-dispersed powder onto part surface and simultaneously providing plastic deformation of surface layers by rotary or progressively moving part relative to supersonic tool, with preliminary forcing pressure being set to value corresponding to elastic strength of coating material to be formed; designating minimum radius of indenter of toroidal supersonic tip to be equal to 0.5-5 mm depending on size of part and hardness of base material in correspondence to minimum and maximum sizes of standard balls according to Brinell hardness system; setting supersonic indenter vibration amplitude at least equal to thickness of mineral coating layer; calculating power of supersonic tool on the basis of predetermined tool amplitude and volumetric specific energy of plastic deformation of surface material layer.
EFFECT: increased efficiency by providing controlled changing of mechanical characteristics of coating material and base material of part.
