FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy. Internal combustion engine has housing. Cylinder is arranged inside said housing. Cylinder guide may be shaped to oval or ellipsoid. Cylinder is divided by rotor fitted on shaft into two chambers. One of said chambers (working strike-exhaust chamber) may be larger than or equal to suction-compression chamber. Said chambers have intake and exhaust openings. Rotor cylindrical surface has recesses making combustion chambers. Every said recess is confined by rotor body on end faces and by radial grooves on both sides. Said grooves accommodate two pairs of plates. Said pair has working strike-exhaust and suction-compression plates. Said plates cane be pushed toward outer surfaces of aforesaid chambers by flexible elements, for example, springs. Ledges with bearings are arranged on sides of said plates. Said ledges feature cylindrical shape on working stroke-exhaust plates and L-like shape on suction-compression plates. Bearings interact with limiting races made in spacers at different distance from cylinder end faces. Outer surfaces of chambers are circumscribed solely by appropriate plates while other plates are pulled in rotor body. Housing is closed by face covers on two sides.
EFFECT: reduced friction and noise, higher efficiency and torque, longer life.
