FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to propulsion engineering. ICE mechanism has housing. The latter houses cylinder. Cylinder guide can be an ellipse or an oval. Said cylinder is divided by rotor fitted on shaft into two chambers. One of suction-compression chamber is larger than discharge stroke chamber. Chambers have inlets and outlets. Two symmetric recesses are made at rotor cylindrical surface to make combustion chambers. Every said recess is confined by rotor body at ends and by radial slots over cylindrical surface. Two pairs of plates are fitted in said slots. Every said pair has plates of working stroke-discharge and suction-compression. Ledges with bearings are arranged at sides of said plates. Said bearings interact with constricting paths made in preset trajectories in spacers, at different distances from the ends of cylinder. Appropriate plate can describe outer surfaces of the chambers while other plates are pulled into rotor body. This mechanism is closed on both sides by end covers.
EFFECT: higher output and torque.
