FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to dentistry, and aims at improving orthodontic appliance fixation. A fixation device for orthodontic appliances comprises a screw having a working head with longitudinal slots for orthodontic appliance insertion, and a threaded rod fitted to be screwed in oral cavity. The fixation device for orthodontic appliances represents said working head. The fixation device comprises a mould element chained in a socket formed in said working end and rotating in said socket. The mould element has a through hole for insertion of the orthodontic appliance, and an opposite device which fixes the orthodontic appliance to the working head when the mould element rotates inside the socket after insertion of the orthodontic appliance through the through hole in the longitudinal slots.
EFFECT: avoided necessity to wind the wire about the rod of the orthodontic screw, wire fixation by ligatures or application of connective substances.
