FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to processing of sublimable materials, particularly, to desumblimation-sublimation of silicon tetra fluoride or uranium hexafluoride. Proposed desublimator comprises cylindrical heat-insulated body, circular desumblimation chamber with annular webs surrounding heat carrier chamber, coolant evaporator, process gas and heat carrier feed and discharge branch pipes. Evaporator incorporates end face chamber. Desumblimation chamber comprises additional catching chamber arranged under the lowest web in desumblimation chamber to terminate at the level of end face chamber. End face chamber is composed of elements with spaced apart bulged parts.
EFFECT: high degree of catching product vapors from gas-vapor mix.
