SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the electrical discharge machining (EDM) of the enhanced accuracy geometrically-complex items. The method comprises the item surface forming on-machine with the CNC by means of the movement of the wire TL with the correction of the TL angular tilt α of the wire TL by virtue of the displacement of the upper guide of the mentioned machine tool cramp when directing the TL feed into the working zone from the bottom up or of the displacement of the bottom guide of the machine tool cramp when directing the TL feed into the working zone from up to down towards the item lateral surface, which is under form formation, perpendicular to the TL moving direction by an amount C, mm: C=b⋅tg(α), where b - is the item thickness, mm; α - is the exactable tilt angle of the item lateral surface, which is under form formation, deg. After the EDM of the item with the male lateral surface one carries out the additional displacement of the mentioned upper or bottom guides of the machine tool cramp to the opposite direction towards the item male lateral surface perpendicular to the TL moving direction for the remachining of this lateral surface along the same trajectory by an amount C1, mm:C1=2⋅C.

EFFECT: simultaneous obtaining of two items in the shape of the punch and matrix with the true-vertical lateral surfaces.
