FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to vacuum process of heat-resistant coating and may be used in aircraft engineering, machine building, and etc. Proposed method comprises placing the article in vacuum chamber. Then, article surface layer is subjected to nano-structuring by metal ion beam to apply nano-structured metal sublayer of titanium or zirconium onto said surface. Now, top nano-structured ceramic layer is deposited onto said metal sublayer. Said top layer consists of zirconium oxide containing yttrium oxide in amount of 2 at % to 8 at % and features granular structure.

EFFECT: higher adhesion, heat resistance and that against crack formation.
