SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine. Medical instrument with illumination contains introduced part for introduction into open body cavity, determining elongated passage, with passage continuing along longitudinal axis and having proximal end and distal end. Obturator is installed in the passage. Light-emitting construction has distal end, made with possibility to direct light from introduced part into open body cavity. Obturator can move in the passage between the first position within the passage and the second position, proximal with respect to the first position, and is made and located in such a way that being in its first position, it, in fact, closes distal end of light-emitting construction in direction of longitudinal axis.

EFFECT: group of inventions, including methods of instrument application, makes it possible to protect light-emitting construction from dirtying with feces.
