SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine, namely to orthopedics and traumatology, and can be applied in correction of funnel chest. Essence of method lies in traction of sternum and includes straightening of ribs. Pad of soft elastic material is laid outside on the area on the contour of funnel chest treatment. Convex cover of the corresponding configuration from rigid transparent or semi-transparent material is installed on it. Air is evacuated from volume under cover to specified low pressure. Mechanical force of rib straightening is created due to the difference between pressure in the cavity inside chest and low pressure in the cavity of volume under cover. Deformed chest is kept under created straightening mechanical force to fix degree of rib straightening under said mechanical straightening force. After that air is let in under cover until pressure value becomes atmospheric. Cover and pad are removed. Degree of funnel chest straightening is checked. In case of necessity, procedure of keeping funnel chest straightening is repeated under larger straightening force. For this purpose lower pressure in created in volume under cover.

EFFECT: application of claimed invention makes it possible to carry out correction with complete elimination of invasive surgical treatment.
