FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: discrete broadband microwave attenuator is proposed, which comprises at least one discharge, every of which comprises resistors, one of which is connected in series, and another one - in parallel to transmission lines at the inlet and outlet of the attenuator, a field transistor with a Schottki barrier, at the same time the serially connected resistor is connected between inlet and outlet transmission lines, and the parallel connected resistor with one end is connected to a drain of the field transistor with the Schottki barrier, the gate of which is connected with a source of permanent control voltage, the source is grounded. At the same time each discharge of the attenuator additionally comprises the following: a resistor, an inductance and a capacitance. The other end of the parallel connected resistor is connected with a transmission line at the outlet, one end of the additional resistor is connected with the transmission line at the inlet, its other end is connected with one end of the inductance and with one end of the capacitance, the other end of the capacitance is connected with the drain of the field transistor with Schottki barrier, the other end of the inductance is grounded.
EFFECT: increased relative width of a service band, reduced value of direct microwave losses and reduced value of microwave signal phase variation with change of permanent control voltage.
