SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine, namely to ophthalmology. In order to diagnose pseudoexfoliative syndrome (PES) at early stages in patients with cataract biomicroscopy of the eye is performed. Pigment dispersion is detected on anterior surface of iris or simultaneously with it TEM is determined in crypts of iris anterior surface and/or pigment on posterior cornea surface, after that gonioscopy is additionally performed and in case if moderate chaiotic pigmentation is detected above Schwalbe's line in examination zone at 4:30-7:30 o'clock, PES is diagnosed.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to diagnose early stage of pseudoexfoliative syndrome.
