FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: connecting device (10; 20) for connection at sea bottom of the first and the second pipelines includes the first connecting assembly (1; 1') that retains the end of the first pipeline. The first connecting assembly and the first pipeline are intended to be lowered and routed at sea bottom prior to connection works. Device also includes the second submersible connecting assembly (2; 2') that retains the end of the second pipeline (4). The second connecting assembly and the second pipeline are intended for being lowered from water surface to the first connecting assembly (1; 1'). Connecting assemblies (1, 2; 1', 2') include devices (6, 11; 21, 22), which interact at movement of the above assemblies relative to each other, and turn the second connecting assembly (2; 2') by means of hinges as a result of forced movement so that installation of the second tube end (4e; 4'e) is provided coaxially with the first tube end (8e; 8'e).

EFFECT: reduction of transportation, erection, repair and service costs of the device.
