FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely, to hematology, and pertains to identifying chromosomal abnormalities in multiple myeloma. The method consists in preparing a preparation for a FISH test from bone marrow aspirate with a low content of tumour plasma cells, conducting a FISH test of interphase nuclei with a diameter of no less than 9 mcm in the preparation for the presence of chromosomal abnormalities, and calculating the percentage of chromosomal abnormalities.
EFFECT: increase in the informative value of determining chromosomal abnormalities by the FISH method in bone marrow aspirate with a low content of tumour plasma cells in multiple myeloma.
