FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine, namely to orthopedics and traumatology, and can be applied in treatment of funnel chest deformation. Essence of method lies in formation of tunnel for passing correcting plate. Skin is cut longitudinally from parasternal to midclavicular line symmetrically on both sides at the level of maximal sternocostal complex deformation. Myotomy of intercostal muscles and mobilisation of parietal pleura from posterior surface of sternocostal complex is performed in blunt way. Guide is introduced into formed tunnel through cut in left half of chest in from left to right direction and passed in formed tunnel extrapleurally to outlet from cut on the right. After that, lavsan thread is passed through opening in distal part of guide and preliminarily modeled correcting plate is fixed to it. Traction of correcting plate by guide id performed in from right to left direction, in formed tunnel, with curve backwards, until it exits through cut on the left. Correcting plate is grasped with clasps by distal parts from both sides. After that, plate is rotated by 180° and laid on anterior parts of ribs.

EFFECT: application of claimed invention makes it possible to minimise trauma, reduce operation risk and improve cosmetic and functional results.
