FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: there proposed is a method of on-board diagnostics to detect turbo-charge air leakage in vehicle, where air is compressed by turbine with changeable geometry and supplied into internal combustion engine. Method includes: supply of compressed air into engine without fuel supply into it; calculation of turbo-charge pressure by current configuration of vanes of turbine with changeable geometry; measurement of actual pressure of turbo-charge; and comparison of turbo-charge design pressure with measured pressure.
EFFECT: provision of possibility to control pressure sensor.
