SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in a vehicle engine exhaust gas recirculation system. Engine control method (10) comprises delivering low-pressure exhaust gas recirculation to downstream of intake throttle (63) and upstream of turbocharger compressor (162); adjusting an operating parameter of engine (10) based on low-pressure exhaust gas recirculation mass flow identified from a difference between a measured clean air mass flow entering the intake throttle (63) and a total gas mass flow measured downstream from turbocharger compressor (162). Disclosed is a variant of vehicle engine control method and system for vehicle engine.
EFFECT: technical result consists in increased service life of mass flow rate sensor higher accuracy of operation when measuring the value of mass flow of exhaust gases in recirculation circuit.
