FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: cantilever eave of a roof with automatic removal of a layer of snow, ice and icicles on the eave is equipped with a breaking-off organ that mechanically impacts the eave. The eave strip freely rests in longitudinal direction against the roof edge and is hingedly fixed to the latter with its edge facing inwards. The hinged joint at the metal strip is made in the form of a straight seam arranged by plastic working of a metal, being parallel to the edge, and the strip part separated by the seam is fixed on the roof by means of screws. The breaking-off organ is made in the form of bent plates fixed in a cantilever manner on the lower surface of the eave in the zone of its contact with the roof edge, and the plates are made of an alloy with an effect of thermomechanical shape memory /TSM/ with different temperature thresholds of actuation.
EFFECT: increased operational reliability of a roof.
