FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for fabrication of nickel fibre electrode base with developed fibre structure, intended mainly for chemical current sources and catalysts; according to the said method one performs synthesis of nickel fibres in a water solution containing nickel ions in the presence of an alkali, a pH buffer, a surfactant in the presence of inhomogeneous magnetic field with magnitude equal to 0.01 - 1 T, Nickel ions recovery with a recovery agent proceeds at a temperature of 70 - 160°C during a period of time equal to 0.5 min - 3 h, the ratio of the surfactant introduced being within the range from 8*10-4 M to 5*10-2 M. The nickel fibre electrode base fabricated in accordance with the proposed method possesses developed (up to 12 m2/g) fibre surface consisting of conic-shaped particles, heir height varying within the range from 50 to 2500 nm, the cone aperture angle being 5° - 20°, the cone point curvature radius - 5 - 50 nm, the average distance between the cones - 80 - 1500 nm, the fibres diameter - 0.2 - 20 mcm and/or 60 - 100 nm.

EFFECT: method ensures the possibility to fabricate nickel fibres with preset properties enabling increase of the specific capacity of electrode base made of such fibres.
