SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical equipment. Metabolic measuring system contains adapter for respiratory tract for introduction into gas flow in successive manner. Adapter has formed in passage for gas flow passing, window and hole for providing optic access to gas flow. Adapter has sensor head, fixed with possibility of removal to adapter. Head has system of infrared radiation perception for transmission or reception of infrared radiation through window, and system of luminescence suppression for transmission of exciting radiation and reception of emitted radiation from luminescent material through hole. Adapter has system of flow measurement with flow limiter, located in adapter, for creation of pressure drop on flow limiter. Adapter has processor, which includes units of gas control and flow processing, and connection line for transmission of signals from system of infrared radiation perception and system of luminescence suppression to unit of gas control and transmission to unit of signal flow processing of signals from system of flow measurement, showing pressure on each side of flow limiter. Processor is made with possibility of determining metabolic parameter, including oxygen consumption, production of carbon dioxide, respiratory coefficient and consumption of energy at rest.

EFFECT: application of group of inventions will make it possible to synchronise and use different types of measuring gas constituents and gas flow together with metabolic measurements in real time.
