SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment. A method of monitoring a time-varying fluorescent signal emitted from a fluorescent agent from within a medium with time-varying optical properties includes providing a set of measurement data, which includes a plurality of measurement records, which include at least two measurements received from the patient before and after the introduction of the fluorescent agent. Measurements may include one or more of the following: DRex signal detected by unfiltered radiation detector during illumination by means of radiation with excitation wavelength from first area adjacent to diffusion reflecting medium; Flr signal detected by filtered radiation detector during illumination by radiation with excitation wavelength; and DRem signal detected by unfiltered radiation detector during illumination by radiation with emission wavelength.

EFFECT: disclosed is a method of monitoring a fluorescent signal varying in time.
