FIELD: aircraft engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method is based on steady-state rotation of aircraft model relative to axis inclined to velocity vector and harmonic variation of the angle of attack and gliding with respect to their settings. Proposed device comprises platform to turn relative to velocity vector due to wind tunnel wheel turn, post secured thereon and including bearing assembly arranged at its top part and provided with the holder turn transducer and multichannel current collector fitted in the post bearing assembly and provided with sliding terminals to rotate therein and furnished with chain transmission driven sprocket arranged at its tail part and fitted on drive shaft, and equipped with model installation assembly with in-model strain-gage weigher at its front end. This device allows mounting the model at definite angle to holder in the range of 0-20 degrees. It comprises the drive composed of electric motor with remote control of rpm, flywheel and reduction gearbox.
