FIELD: aerodynamics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to experimental aerodynamics, in particular to automatic control systems of position of model in wind tunnels. Method comprises placing the model on the holder with the possibility of changing the position of the model in the incident flow in one plane according to the predetermined program, when the position of the model is changed, the model is located within the characteristic diamond and the position of the model is automatically corrected during the experiment. Modification of model position is carried out by means of at least two pairs of in-series installed linear drives located in one or parallel planes.
EFFECT: technical result consists in providing change of position of model in incoming flow continuously in experiment in one plane automatically in accordance with specified program within characteristic rhomb, as well as allowance for dimensions of model in wind tunnel.
