FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to obtaining graphite compounds with a layer structure, which can be used in electrochemical cells, in supercapacitors, in making sensors, optical elements etc. The method of obtaining perforated graphene-based layered compounds involves thermal decomposition of sulphuric acid-intercalated graphite oxide in a medium of concentrated sulphuric acid. Impurity residues are washed off from the obtained product - perforated graphite oxide (PGO), and the product is then dried at room temperature. Further, the PGO can be treated to obtain modified layered compounds based on perforated graphenes by calcining at 700-900°C, or fluorination or a combination of heat treatment and fluorination.
EFFECT: obtaining layered compounds having a new set of chemical and physical properties.
