FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: method of ion-plasma application of the coating in vacuum to the surface of die impression from heat-resistant nickel alloy for hot, mainly isothermal die stamping under conditions of superplasticity, involves preparation of die impression surface and deposition to the prepared surface of strengthening coating, differs by the fact that preparation of surface of die impression is performed by cleaning of surface with Zr ions with surface heating and with implantation of surface layer with Zr ions; then, Zr underlayer is deposited, and coating is deposited with total thickness of layers of 8 to 30 mcm by depositing the layer of Zr, Cr, Nb or their combination in reaction medium of N, C, B or in their mixture at pressure of 10-3 to 10-4 mm Hg, or by alternation of deposition of layers from the above metals in vacuum at the pressure of 10-4 to 10-9 mm Hg with deposition of layers from the above metals in the above reaction medium, and cooling down to the temperature of 160-180°C at the chamber pressure of 10-3 Pa is performed.
