FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: ship comprises a large number of pipe processing stations arranged along the ship width. In one version of realisation there are two zones of pipes processing, which are separated from each other along the ship. Pipe processing stations may be used in two process modes. In the first process mode on the ship they manufacture three-pipe branches of a pipeline (welded from three pieces of pipe sections), and in the second process mode they manufacture two-pipe branches of a pipeline, for instance, from two sections of a pipe of single length, and their length is considerably larger than in sections of a pipe of single length used in the first process mode. In one version of realisation three-pipe sections of a pipe are partially welded in one zone of pipes processing, afterwards they are moved along the ship into a different zone of pipes processing, where the subsequent welding operations are carried out on the three-pipe branch. To ensure operation of a ship in two process modes, configuration of warehouse bunkers for storage of pipe sections of single length is selected so that one bunker could hold along the length the pipe sections of single length with different length as butt-joined.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of performance of preliminary assembly and laying.
