FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: continuous sleeper tamping is provided by several tamping blocks above each rail. In process of sleeper tamping with one tamping block the other tamping block is moved into the initial position for tamping of the next sleeper. A machine for continuous sleeper tamping has longitudinal guides, along which carriages of tamping blocks move. Longitudinal guides are arranged as circular with a rectilinear section. Carriages on longitudinal guides are arranged in the amount of at least two above each rail.

EFFECT: increased efficiency.
