FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: glowing plug, and namely intended to be used in an internal combustion engine contains at least one heating rod (1) and at least one housing (2), as well as at least one annular gap (3) located between heating rod (1) and housing (2), and at least one cavity (4) mainly located between heating rod (1) and housing (2). At that, its surface in cavity (4) is coated with a catalyst reducing the ignition temperature of combustion products; at that, as the catalyst, nickel-rhenium, vanadium pentoxide, samarium oxide or hopcalite is used. Annular gap (3) of the glowing plug with cavity (4) is formed with Helmholtz resonator.

EFFECT: technical result of the proposed invention is increase in carbon combustion degree and enlargement of uninterrupted operating period of internal combustion engine.
