SUBSTANCE: modelling in rabbits is performed by one-side ovarioectomy and introduction of hydrocortisone 3 days later. Hydrocortisone is injected under the regimen: 1st, 14th days 0.1 ml (mg); 2nd, 3rd, 12th, 13th days - 0.2 ml (mg); 4th-11th days 0.3 ml (mg).

EFFECT: method provides creating an adequate model of osteoporosis with decreased mortality rate in experimental animals and manifestations of hormone withdrawal syndrome.
