FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: for the purpose of predicting the clinical course of ischemic heart disease, blood serum is examined for pre- and post-therapeutic HDLs, total cholesterol and lipoprotein(a) by additional processing of serum 0.3 ml in 0.1% Triton X-100. Then it is incubated for 15 min at 20°C. The mixture was stirred by shaking 120 times a minute, with the disintegration. Blood serum is then incubated with Sudan IS for 1 h in a dark thermostat at 40°C. Then the sample is placed into a well with agarose gel of an bottom area of 4×20 mm for electrophoresis. Thereafter electrophoregrams are recorded; the samples are dried, and densitometry follows. If observing a simultaneous reduction of lipoprotein(a) by 30% or more, and cholesterol by 15% or more and an increase of HDLs more than 30%, and HDL-cholesterol from 0.8 to 1.6 mmol/l or more as compared to the reference, a prognosis of the clinical course is considered to be favourable. A reduction of lipoprotein(a) less than 30%, and total cholesterol less than 15%, and an increase of HDLs less than 30% and HDL-cholesterol less than 1.6 mmol/l as compared with the initial values, a prognosis is shown to be unfavourable.
EFFECT: method enables detecting minor blood LP fractions in progression, improving sensitivity and accuracy of the method by the simultaneous evaluation of the lipid parameters.
