SUBSTANCE: invention refers to a method for preparing a composition comprising a polysaccharide having one or more complexing groups derived by covalent binding of putrescine, spermine, spermidine and cadaverine with said polysaccharide, with all or some of the complexing groups forming a complex with a radioactive metal 99mTc. The declared method involves contacting a polysaccharide with an agent that controls the oxidation, contacting the oxidised polysaccharide with the complexing compound selected from putrescine, spermine, spermidine and cadaverine and contacting the polysaccharide prepared at the stage ii), with salt 99mTc. The invention also refers to a diagnostic composition for medical or veterinary imaging, prepared by the method.
EFFECT: what is presented is the diagnostic composition for scintigraphic imaging.
