FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method in accordance with this invention provides for monitoring of introduction of several metals into a cavity (2, 3), designed for melting of the specified metals, with the purpose of coating application by the method of submersion onto a steel strip (1) with the help of the specified metals in the form of a liquid metal. At the same time the first metal is introduced in the form of at least one first bar (10) with high content of the specified first metal. The second metal is introduced in the form of at least one second bar (11) containing alloy of the first metal and the second metal. The content of the second metal of the second bar is selected in the range of significant values for provision of the required total consumption of joint melting of bars. At the same time the range of significant values of content is selected in the limited range of serially increasing values, in order to reduce to the minimum the deviations between temperatures of bars melting.
EFFECT: improved quality of coatings.
