FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to reconditioning of worn-out parts, particularly, their outer and inner cylindrical, flat and complex surfaces, made from aluminium alloys. Proposed method comprises building up of surface to be reconditioned, machining and hardening said surface by micro-arc oxidation in alkaline electrolyte. Note here that building up of surface to be reconditioned is performed by spark building up by 5-6 mm-dia electrode made from deformable aluminium alloy AMg2 at electrode vibration frequency of 275 Hz, pulse length of 2.5 ms, working current of 3.6 A and voltage of 96 V. Note also that micro-arc oxidation is performed in electrolyte containing 2.2-2.5 g/l of caustic potash and 9 g/l of liquid glass at current density of 16-17 A/dm2 for 110 min. Application of this method allows a 40-55%-increase in hardened layer depth and 15%-increase in micro hardness as well as 30%-increase in wear resistance.
EFFECT: longer life.
