FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method includes withdrawal of a pin from an anode body, charging of a mass under a pin into a hole and installation of a new pin, at the same time, after loading of the mass under the pin into the hole and its melting, coolant is supplied jointly with the coke and dust mixture in the amount of 0.3-0.6 kg/m3 per one hole.
EFFECT: reduced concentration of resinous substances in roof emissions in case of pins shifting.
