FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method to manufacture a device for storage and transportation of spent nuclear fuel comprising a hollow internal sleeve for placement of spent nuclear fuel and an outer shell, between which there is an additional shell, channels of which are filled with a neutron-absorbing material. Prior to assembly of the external shell, an additional shell is manufactured on the inner and outer surfaces of which, arranged, accordingly, by the shape of the outer surface of the hollow internal sleeve and the inner surface of the external shell in staggered order, longitudinal channels are placed.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to facilitate the process of manufacturing and assembly of a device.
