FIELD: recovery of nuclear wastes. SUBSTANCE: container has inner and outer cylindrical shells with bottoms where space between them is filled with concrete; inner space has sealed covering made in the form of at least one lid mounted on metal base. Container has also additional metal lid on cylindrical shell that covers in a spaced relation outer shell to form space filled with concrete of lower strength. Space between inner and outer shells is also provided with double annular reinforcement in the form of reinforcement grids incorporating longitudinal and annular members. Annular members of one grid are joined with respective ones of other annular grid using U-shaped members uniformly spaced over circumference. Metal base carries alignment facilities for mounting the grids. Each grid is set in a spaced relation to adjacent shell. Anchors arranged along mentioned longitudinal members are fitted in space between inner and outer shells inside concrete fill. U-shaped members placed in vicinity of anchors enclose the latter. EFFECT: improved reliability of container and its safety, reduced manufacturing charges. 8 cl, 3 dwg
