SUBSTANCE: methods are based on the principle of metallised pellets feed via a feed unit made in the form of a supplying flexible hose and a cone funnel with a ball insert and a cylindrical tip or a receiving funnel with a nozzle, arranged on its bottom, the supplying flexible hose and the cone funnel with the cylindrical tip, or the supplying flexible hose and the cone funnel of electric insulating material with the cylindrical tip, or the supplying flexible hose, the cone funnel with the cylindrical tip and nozzles under pressure of a gas mixture into a flow of metallised pellets, or the receiving funnel with the nozzle arranged on its bottom, the supplying flexible hose and the cone funnel with the cylindrical tip, at the same time the upper end of the supplying flexible hose is fixed in the nozzle of the receiving funnel, into which metallised pellets are fed from top with the help of a conveyor system connected with a control PC, slag-forming and carbon-containing materials are supplied jointly with metallised pellets, and such materials are selected from the group, which includes lime, bauxite, fine limestone, breeze.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase efficiency of processes of pellets melting in an arc steel furnace due to concentration in the area of high-temperature arcs on surface of pellet slag, loose materials and gas mixtures.
