FIELD: measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: ultrasonic flow metre, comprising a metering pipe (1) that metered medium is running through and that has, in the cross section view, two halves, and two pairs (2) of ultrasonic converters, with every of which an ultrasonic reflector (4) is related. Besides, ultrasonic converters (3) of each pair (2) are arranged on a half of the metering pipe (1) common for them with displacement relative to each other in longitudinal direction of the metering pipe (1), and the ultrasonic reflector (4), related with the appropriate pair (2) of ultrasonic converters is arranged on the other half and is placed, when looking in the longitudinal direction of the metering pipe (1), between both ultrasonic converters (3) so that an ultrasonic signal sent by one ultrasonic converter (3) of the pair (2) of ultrasonic converters, reaches another ultrasonic converter (3) along a V-shaped path (5) of signal distribution via the ultrasonic reflector (4), related with this pair (2) of ultrasonic converters. The first pair (2) of metering converters and the second ultrasonic reflector (4) is arranged on one half, and the second pair (2) of ultrasonic converters and the first ultrasonic reflector (4) - on the other half of the metering pipe. Both V-shaped paths (5) of signal distribution stretch in different planes, which do not cross inside the metering pipe (1). Converters are arranged higher than ultrasonic reflectors (4) related to them.

EFFECT: increased accuracy of measurements made by an ultrasonic flow metre.
