FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of recoding violations of traffic regulation rules using video cameras. It may be used for control over violations of traffic regulation rules by particular vehicles at isolated road sections. In compliance with this method, in case mean speed exceeds permitted speed at isolated road section of known length L₁, L₂, … L_n and with known permitted maximum speed v₁, v₂, … v_n, overspeed is calculated proceeding from principle of maximum loyalty to vehicle user, that is, such over speed for which its value at one road section equal that at all other sections and makes minimum absolute, that is L1/t1 -V₁=L2/t2 -V₂ = … = Ln/tn-V_n given t₁ + t₂ + … + t_n = t, where t_n is time of covering n-th zone, t is total time of covering the entire road section.

EFFECT: higher accuracy of speed determination and violation of permitted speed.
