FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to traffic control, namely to methods of determining vehicle speed at road section, having curvilinear segments. Method comprises steps of determining length of road, time of vehicle entry and exit, time of vehicle motion at road section and average speed of vehicle on road section are determined. Length of section of road is determined by dashing road section into segments, wherein segments include segments of straight and curved segments with turns of road. Length of each segment is measured, wherein length of curvilinear segments of road is measured along inner radius of turn of road. Lengths of all segments composing road section are summed up.
EFFECT: reduced probability of missing vehicle speed mode violations in section of road, having curvilinear segments, while maintaining principle of loyalty to drivers.
