FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: in compliance with proposed method, cameras are arranged at one traffic control station. At least, two parallel planes are calculated each crossing the road via the field of vision of appropriate camera. Vehicle speed is calculated from the time of crossing of said planes by vehicle identical elements. This is performed by interpolation of, at least, two frames at preset intervals of fixation.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of traffic control and validity of traffic violations.
