FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to ophthalmology and is intended for measurement of optic density of eye structures. Spectral optic coherent tomography is carried put. Export of obtained tomogram in form of digital image in mode 8-bit/gradations of gray and analysis of digital image with evaluation of brightness of separate pixels are carried out. Evaluation of pixel brightness is performed in software, making it possible to measure brightness of separate pixels of the analysed object on its image. Mean arithmetic brightness and coefficient of optic density are calculated by formula x=y:255*100, where y is mean arithmetic brightness, and x is a conventional unit of optic density.

EFFECT: method is technically simple and available, ensures op0tic densitometry of eye structures with dimension from 1 mcm, obtaining reliable comparable results for diagnostics, determination of indications for treatment, evaluation of dynamics and prediction of course of different diseases.
