METHOD OF ESTIMATING DEGREE OF INTRA-ABDOMINAL HYPERTENSION SEVERITY IN PATIENTS WITH OBESITY Russian patent published in 2013 - IPC A61B5/03

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine, namely to obstetrics. Intra-abdominal pressure (IAP) in pregnant is measured. If IAP value in II trimester of pregnancy is > 16 mm Hg, index of uterine artery resistance IUtAR and index of umbilical artery resistance IUmAR are measured. After that, P parameter, which is equal to ratio of first index values to second index, is calculated. Taking into account P parameter values, indices described above and IAP degree of intra-abdominal hypertension severity in pregnant women with obesity is determined. IUtAR<0.8 corresponds to I degree of severity. IUtAR≥0.8, P<1 corresponds to II degree of severity. P≥1 corresponds to III degree of severity.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to increase accuracy in estimation of state of pregnant women with obesity due to dynamic control of intra-abdominal pressure and impairment of uterine-feto-placental blood stream, as well as to divide pregnant women into groups in accordance with degree of pathology intensity.
