FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: device for X-ray fluorescence analysis of substance has a source of gamma or X-ray radiation, a polarising target, a sample holder, a detector with a collimator directed at the sample, a protective screen and a recording device, the input of which is connected to the output of the detector, wherein there is also a primary beam collimator for irradiating the target with a narrow beam; the sample holder enables to mount the sample on a circle passing through the target in a plane perpendicular to the primary beam; the detector is mounted at a point on the circle that is diametrally opposite the target; the protective screen is placed between the target and the detector, and the collimator of the detector has an opening which allows radiation to pass to the detector from a narrow zone along the circle.
EFFECT: larger area of the analysed area of the sample and representativeness of analysis, simpler and smaller target.
