FIELD: physics, measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: application: for X-ray analysis of heavy elements. The essence of invention in that the heavy element analyzer comprises an X-ray tube or a gamma radiation source, a primary beam collimator, a sample holder, two analytical channels with collimators and secondary emission filters, detection device with detector rows, and recording equipment connected to the detectors outputs, wherein the sample holder is adapted to install the sample with flat or concave working surface on a sphere, the X-ray tube source or focus is located on the said sphere, collimators in both channels have input and output slits, wherein the first analytical channel exit slit extends through the sphere point diametrically opposite to the source perpendicularly to the plane of the beam axes, and the entrance slit is located in the beam axes plane between the sample holder and the exit slit; the second channel is designed for high-sensitive thorium-uranium analysis, wherein the entrance slit is located in the beam axes plane, and the exit slit is located on the above-mentioned sphere perpendicularly to the entrance slit at a dissipation angle more than 140; moreover, a possibility of either movement and installation of the detection device under beams at both channel outputs, or application of the second detection device in the thorium-uranium channel, is envisaged.

EFFECT: invention enables the analysis of thorium and uranium with high sensitivity along with the elements lighter than bismuth, increases analyzing productivity.
